The Town of Sandwich was incorporated in 1639. Sandwich is the oldest town on Cape Cod. The town is mostly a residential community with a winter population that is much smaller than the population during the summer months. Sandwich has many beautiful beaches that stretch for miles. The beaches afford a wonderful view of the many vessels that pass by on their way to and from the Boston area.
