The City of Waltham is located approximately 9 miles from Boston. The Charles River cuts a path through the south section of Waltham and has historically been used for, transport, water and industry. Today the Charles River has given way to Route 128 as the main economic center in the city . Waltham has the second largest office market in the Greater Boston area. The City also can boast large park and open space facilities such as Prospect Hill Park and the Robert Treat Paine Estate.
